Service animals are allowed in academic buildings. Emotional support animals are not.
A few things to know about service animals:
- Service animals are the only animals allowed anywhere on campus.
- They are not required to wear identifying vests or harnesses.
- You may ask only two questions about a service animal:
- Is the animal required for a disability?
- What disability-related work or task has the animal been trained to perform?
- You may ask the handler to remove a service animal if it causes a disruption.
Emotional support animals are only allowed in residential spaces.
