The Student Success Center provides struggling students with a variety of support options including peer tutoring (the Learning Center), success coaching, and training and support in academic skills development.

The Learning Center provides free peer-tutoring services that empower students to become more confident and capable learners. The Center offers tutoring in subjects such as world languages, mathematics, science, writing for all content areas, academic skills development, and more. Its services include both one-on-one appointments and group sessions, offering a variety of learning dynamics. Each tutor not only is an experienced and successful student but also has been specifically trained to accommodate individual learning styles and needs. While the sessions are focused on helping students learn how to succeed academically, the Center’s primary goal is to encourage students to take charge of their own learning experience by offering collaborative and encouraging peer tutoring that cultivates independence, curiosity, efficiency, strength, and self-confidence.

Each new freshman is assigned a success coach. Success coaches are in regular contact with their students, helping them to navigate the challenges of college.

If you have a student who is struggling with your course content or any other aspect of college life, please use this referral form or  email advising@meredith.edu or success@meredith.edu and they will connect your student to the resources they need across campus.
